Cyber Security Related Hackathon for Girls at Shree Rudrayanee Secondary School Khokana

Rotary Club of Mount Everest Lalitpur, Women in IT (WIIT), and the technical expertise of BugV came together to orchestrate an extraordinary event at Shree Rudrayani Secondary School, Khokana, Lalitpur. This groundbreaking event, titled the “Cybersecurity-Related Hackathon for Girls,” illuminated the path for the next generation of female cybersecurity experts. Hackathon for girls on live hacking was started with a very encouraging welcome by Assistant Governor Rotarian Tika Nidhi Lohani.

The event witnessed an awe-inspiring turnout of 20 talented young girls who dared to dive headfirst into the world of cybersecurity. These young champions, ranging from classes 9 to 11, demonstrated their tenacity and potential throughout the event. The program unfurled in two meticulously designed phases, ensuring. A warm up, quiz contest was conducted by WIIT, where the participants were asked questions regarding awareness of cyber security. Experience sharing from the winners were requested to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. All participants received backpack bags from Kathmandu Engineering College and certificates from RCMEL to participants and supporters.
